kI have a bar of durian 'cae' (just durian-pureé), which is also called Lempok Durian, and I was wondering what I could do with it... like making cakes or something nice with it.

Any ideas or recipies would be amazing as this fruit is indeed, the king of fruits.

Many thanks.

There are a number of things you can do with durian. Check out the link (though I'm not terribly convinced about the durian cheesecake).

Nothing beats the real thing though... mmm the aroma. LOL

Title: DURIAN CAKE

Remove flesh from the durian and discard the seeds. Puree the flesh
in a food processor. Beat butter and sugar together until smooth,
then beat in the egg yolks. Sift flour and beat it into the butter
mixture. Beat in the durian pulp.

Whip egg whites into stiff peaks and fold them into the mixture.
Bake cake in a greased, 8" cake pan for 1 hour, or until cake is done

just eat the durian cake as it is.

I found some in my cupboard the other day. It must have been there for a while, and I forgot I had it.

My bet is all recipes start with, 'Put a clothes peg on your nose.'

I agree they're great to eat, but - the smell!
Some markets in Asia forbid the fruit, 'cos it puts people off everything else at the market.
