The American people have gained. Not only is it Defense, but Homeland Security. We have not had another attack since 9/11 and don't have any imminent threats.

The military industrial complex of course. George W. saw a lot of money left over from the Clinton administration. Forget the health care probs, screw the school system, his campaign contributors needed to be payed off !
O.K., how many Americans were killed by terrorists before 9/11? I mean foreign terrorists. (Oklahoma city). Were there terrorists crawling around Tennessee or in Las Vegas blowing things up? Murdering innocent men women and children before that?.
9/11 was a terrible act. It was a statement to America.
There are so many people out there who are totally paranoid because of the Media. Use your brains America!

Have anymore buildings been blown up by terrorists in the U.S.? Has another American citizen been killed in the U.S. by a terrorist since 9/11? The answers are "No" and "No." Which means the answer to your question is; you, me, and all of our loved ones. On the other hand, we could spend less on defense, loosen our laws and see if we can bring back the Clinton policies that the 9/11 commission report said led to the attacks.

Thank you Alpha Male.....my thoughts exactly - me, I gained! My children and my family and my neighbors gained! Bet you won't simply turn off the news the next time you hear of a terrorist attack overseas! We have had our awareness raised! We as a country are more susceptible then we ever would have cared to think about pre-911!
Why do you focus on the money, trying to pinpoint conspiracy, when there are so many more important issues to be corrected? Dick Cheney alone did not determine the limitations that are placed on pricing from private contractors! FIX the problem instead of merely pointing out the symptoms!

The Federal Reserve.
The military industry.
The investors in the military industry.
The enemies of the constitution.
Runs with Scissors, state prosecution looks at the parties that benefit from a crime to prove a crime. It is standard procedure! We did not do that in 911. We only looked at one posibility (the muslims).

Is the follow the money argument the extent of your conspiracy theory? You could be right, not that I would presume to know, but if I'm going to get on some corporations case, it might be nice if you showed proof of collusion to cause a war, let alone attack ourselves, which you haven't impled but is a theory that can be alluded to. How is it that you think a benefit proves a crime? Or have I misunderstood you?

The terrorists gained. Who actually knew about Al Qaeda before 9/11 took place? Now, it's a household name. They gained notoriety, and our media gives them an outlet with which to communicate the message that they want to get across.
Other than that...everybody lost.

funny how some of the people who bussed haliburtion workers to and fro in Iraq reported making $800 a day when most of our military makes less than $100 a day... yet some people see nothing wrong with this.
