Ask him why he does this straight out. Maybe he is embarressed about liking you infront of his friends and then when he isnt with his friends he wants to be with you. Tell him if he likes you then he should stop being mean to you infront of his friends. If he doesnt change and stop calling you ugly just ignore him when he tries to flirt with you later, tell him your not interested if your gonna call me ugly. hope thats helped. Good Luck

right, first thing, does he call you ugly and talk bad around you when hes around his friends? if so, thats pier pressure. he wants to look good in front of his friends, but fancys you.
OR
maybe he doesn't like you, and doesn't know that hes flirting with you (but thats unlikly)

Perhaps he was trying to "show off" in front of other people to make himself look better. He probably really does like you. You shouldn't give him the time of day...show him you're not his toy!

u know how they say girls mature faster than boys. this is true in your case. he has resorted back to the grade school behaviour of i like you so let me punch you. men/boys behave like idiots sometimes. just talk to him and ask him what the deal is.
