Everything is caused by something other than itself. Therefore the universe was caused by something other than itself. The string of causes cannot be infinitely long, there must be a first cause. Therefore there must be a first cause, namely God.
What do you have to say about this?do you agree or disagree?are there any comments you can make?

Why does it have to be a god? And using your argument, where did god come from?

i agree with you that there must be a first cause and that cause is god he is the cause of the universe he is the cause of us living for he is the alpha and the omega the beginning and the end had it not been for him we would not have been here. Despite what evolutionists may say i don't believe in the 'big bang' theory there was purpose in this creation called the earth. Have you ever looked at something formed by unnatural causes whether it be by cloning or not, does it ever survive for long? is it always healthy? by just answering these questions you will see that nothing can be left up to chance for it would not be as perfect as god has created it.

The idea of god was thought up by those that wish to control you,
those that thought of the idea bought god to you on their terms not yours. The writers of the Bible, Koran and other religious doctrines wrote their doctrines to control you from the grave and their writings thousands of years later are still controlling you. Yet all of us allow this to happen. God may be a fact or not be a fact, but a certain fact is no one living or dead can tell you about god because no one living, dead or who will ever live has ever been in contact with god whatever anyone may tell you. If someone tells you they have they are out and out liar's and that means the religion they represent is based on lies not fact. It is best to keep an open mind on god and not be persuaded by the ignorance of the poor sad people that profess to have the answers. It is time for a new doctrine based on the values of the past but ultimately for today whosoever shall write this will be directed by god. In my opinion god is in man and only man can stop man blowing himself up.

In that first instant before space and time God just is, but whether you call it a cause is probably just an opinion. Two things happen together and we imagine a chain that binds them but how can we really *know*? We can know by the account in the gospel of John that the Word was there in the beginning and through the Word all of creation was made. The Word is that chain and Jesus Christ is the strongest link.

Your premise is wrong.
The string of causes CAN be infinitely long. The universe has always existed. How can it not have?
Also, why, based on your assumption, should it have been a god that was the first cause?

Hi there, behind everything there has to be reason and intelligence, nothing creates nothing.
God as you quite rightly say is the first cause.
here is something you may like, when the scientists who struggle up the vast mountain of reason and finally pull themselves over the final rim of that mountain and standing at last on the plateau of God`s truth, there they will find the tribe of religious believers ready and waiting to greet them.

One of the 'definitions' of God is that which is not created nor dies.
Your logic, laws of physics, science etc only apply to the universe.
God is beyond all this.
You ask a question like "How heavy is light?".

Who are we to say that everything has to be caused by something? We don't have all the answers yet. Why be intellectually lazy, give up on research and say that it has to be God?

First cause falls down on itself.
If ALL things need a cause, then what caused god?
If COMPLEX beings require a designer, who designed god - he's more complex than we are!

What caused God? If God is infinite as is stated in the Bible, that would discredit your theory.

i dunno,i have heard of 'thebig bang' something that happened and hey presto the earth was born but the following questions have always came to mind:
if adam and eve were the first people on earth then surely we are all related? that means my celebrity crush(wink, wink)could actually be my BROTHER?
What did come first, the chicken or the egg?
How come we have different races when adam and eve were supposedly caucasian?
the mind boggles...
