I heard a Christian neighbor of mine tell her kids... "Learn it in order to pass the tests... but do NOT believe in it! It's deceitful and will lead you from God"

Honestly, it took everything I had not to laugh at how silly that woman looked telling her kids that.

As a infant, I attended Catholic faculties, the place we've been taught the thought of evolution, no longer Creationism. you will discover that solid opposition to the thought of evolution is extra foremost interior Fundamentalism. in spite of the undeniable fact that, if a youthful infant have been taught theories to which she or he have been adversarial, it relatively is totally probably that the youngster *discovered* that opposition from adults (pastors, mom and dad, guardians, etc) particularly than intellectually formulating it on their own. i know some mom and dad who've objected to such teachings, and pulled their childrens out of public faculties. in spite of the undeniable fact that, i'm uncertain how the youngster might react with out parental intervention, because of the fact that that would count on the guy infant in question. In my own case, if I heard issues at school that I disagreed with, and that i did, I the two asked questions and tried to difficulty my own rebuttal (with various consequences), or in basic terms made a psychological understand the thought and why i presumed it replaced into defective, and moved on.

No. It's part of the public schools curriculum. The kids have to be taught the theory. No choice there in public education.

I think we need to make sure our children remain Christians. If this means we need to pull them out of science classes then we should do it. Science was created by Satan to convert Christians away from Christianity and lead them to hell.

We are not afraid of the teachings of evolution. It cannot harm us to know what the science community teaches. We are not closed minded and encourage our children to do well on tests about evolution.

So why are evolutionists so uneasy about the creation? Whi is afraid? and who is closed minded?

i am from the south the heart of the bible belt. and when it was taught there were a few that did yes.... i am not real positive why. i look at it this way, if you believe in the bible and that god created everything and how he created everything then you know its false. so despite what teachers teach, you know the truth.

I didn't, but I sure did make it a time of study so that my child was given BOTH SIDES of the debate, which is far more courageous than the public school system will ever dare to be.

I have observed that many christians seem to be terrified of science in general. The more one knows of science the less likely one will remain a christian.
