I am 19 yrs old and everybody thinks I am like 14 or 15. They always say you have such a cute and innocent face, but this gets aggravating after a while, bc guys do not want girls with innocent faces. It is so aggravating that at college other students always call me baby or darling. Sometimes, I just dont understand this. I have never had a bf, and I think it is mainly bc they think I am a child. I am not prepubescent in any way shape and form, but I want to be seen as being hot instead of cute.

I wouldn't see having an innocent face as being a problem. A lot of men find it attractive. The word hot applies also. You'll bump into one of us soon.

First of all Cocoa, it just may be possible that people are intimidated at the fact that you look so young and they want you to feel down about it. Often times when someone says something negative in regards to something so positive it may mean that they are jealous of you. I personally think that its wonderful to be thought of as younger than you are because as you get older, you'll still have that youth about you. I don't feel that being called cute or innocent is a bad thing, I'm 30 years old and people still call me baby or darling because I look like I'm about 20. I was at a gas station once and these women who were probably like 3 years older than me were like, "I hate when these young kids don't wear belts and their pants slide down!" I had on some low-rise jeans and I laughed because I wanted to say, "honey, I'm your age!!!" You may not have a boyfriend because first off, it may not be your time to meet him yet. There's always a purpose and a plan in all of our lives and it may not be time for you yet. Also, it sounds like there may be a slight confidence blocker because of this "babyface" thing. Not saying that you think you're ugly or anything, but confidence comes in many shapes and forms. In order for you do be seen as hot, stop worrying about those kids and look at yourself as hot; know that YOU ARE hot! That special guy will see that confidence in you and he will approach you no matter if others see you as 14 or 15. But it first begins in YOU!!! Don't get aggravated, just build up yourself because that's the only person it's about. Everything else will come. Patience is the key.

I am so sorry, this has to be a very difficult situation to be in. First of all i would inform those rude enough to call you baby and darling, that you are a grown woman and wish to be addressed as such. Keep the faith girl, someone will come along, besides you are working on your education and having a relationship would really slow you down. I am 25. People still think that I am like 16 or 17. You should see the look on their faces when I tell them I have three kids. They just about flip. I know how you feel. But look at it this way, when you are say 40 you will definitely not look it. Then everyone will be envying you. So just keep cool. Everything will turn out. You might catch some guys eye in one of your classes who like the way YOU are. Just be patient. Good Luck. There is a special someone out there for you. P.S. You could always try make-up. It made me look a little older. But I don't like make-up. To this day I still don't wear it. But its worth a shot. Good Luck.

I used to have the opposite problem.
My boyfriend has/had the same problem as you.. he's 21 and looks 16/17 litterally. All you can do is hope that you can find someone who can look past that and think you're cute AND hot.
to look older you can try to dress older, instead of the normal 19 year old jeans and t-shirt, where slacks and nicer shirts. i know that works for him, when he dresses a little nicer he looks his age.. when he wears jeans and t's he looks really young.

He's had several people think his ID is fake and at a 18+ movie fest the scanned it 3 times and checked to see if his tattoos were real... i understand your pain

I know exactly what you are going thru. I have always been petite and younger looking. When I was 19, people thought I was 14 or 15 too. I hated the fact that men always said how cute I was. I didnt' want to be cute. I wanted to be pretty, or hot. But, now, I have my share of attention. I just think of it like this, when everyone else looks their age or older, we will be looking younger, when it counts most. Good luck, sweetie!

You will find that while you have generalized about what men want, you might also consider that they are being considerate of you based on your appearance. For someone who is young in appearance, you should look at it as an advantage. You can now make good guy friends that will get to know you and then find out how sexually stimulating you can be.

If you simply want men to lust after you, perhaps you should ask those who are in that situation how much they like it on a 24/7 basis! (most likely you will find that those girls don't care to have 45 year old men leering at their breasts,.etc everywhere they go)

don't worry about it. the right guy will see right through you appearance. any girls can look hot (well, most) at any time. innocent looks is hard to come by and you should be glad to hear it. once you get older, you'll wish that people would say the same thing now.

well i dont think there nothing wrong having a baby face,but i feel u so want u want to do is change up alittle go out in see if u can get a ideal on what people are wearing as far as the in crowd that u can see yourself kickin it with,what iam trying to say is go out see what style u like or fits u and wear it let your hair down u feel me start dressing older or hip and watch the change in u and them!

Men love little girls. They love the innocent and cuteness of them. So if you wish to have a "boy" friend then I'm sorry , but if you wish to have a "man" one day then you are light years ahead of the other girls who look "used".
