my kitten is about 7 months old now, and his appetite has sky-rocketed, i fill his bowl in the morning when i leave for work and its almost empty when i return. He's always been a pig, but its getting worse now. he is going through a "growth-spurt"? he doesnt have any parasites or sicknesses.

You should feed your cat according to the directions on the package. he'll get used to you giving him a certain amount of food each day. I give my cat half a cup of dry food each morning and if the bowl is empty at the end of the day, that's fine... but I don't give her more until the next day.

Also, you should make sure that the food you feed him is formulated for kittens, so he gets the best nutrition for his little, growing body. That might be why he's more hungry.

he may be going through a growth spurt but depending on how much you give him and how long he has to eat it it may be normal. as long as you feed him twice a day and the amount showen on the bag of cat food you have nothing to worry about.
