Light blue carpet is a little dated, sorry to say, so I would go with a very soft taupe or greige to tone down the carpeting and keep the walls warm against those navy blue shades. Get a couple of paint swatches first and try them on your walls, as the color will likely look a lot different at home than it looks in the paint store. Good luck!!

Yellow, if you like yellow. There are so many shades of yellow that go with baby blue and dark dark, beautiful. I like adventure when painting and my daughters room in a nice medium purple with a light blue sky ceiling with a yellow end wall. Looks fab. Don't be shy to change up the colours, to do two colours. If the room in long, end it with dark colours, if the room is square do what ever. I love painting and doing new things. So the sky's the limit but white is yuck and so it gray. Splash it up depending on your age group.
Hve fun

It really depends on your taste, and the kind of light your bedroom gets.
Blue tends to be a cold colour, so I would warm up the room by painting the walls a camel beige. No yellows or whites, except for the accents.

I recommend that you register (it's free) online with Better Homes and Gardens (www.bhg.com) to get ideas. Once you register go to "color a room" and you will be able to pick out a bedroom (or any room) and change the wall color and floor color. It is a fun website.
To answer your question, maybe a light blue will do it. Click link to see picture. Good Luck.

blues usually go good with a maroon shade but if you really aren't sure get several swatches of the colors you like and hang them on the walls for a few days to help you decide if you really like the color or not

White or off white with a wallpaper border that matches your colors and maybe matching the bedspread too.
