Jesus is my saviour and my best friend

I will bless the Lord forever
I will trust Him at all times
He has delivered me from all fear
He has set my feet upon a rock
I will not be moved
And I'll say of the Lord

You are my shield, my strength
My portion, deliverer
My shelter, strong tower
My very present help in time of need

Whom have I in heaven but You
There's none I desire beside You
You have made me glad
And I'll say of the Lord

You are my shield, my strength
My portion, deliverer
My shelter, strong tower
My very present help in time of need

As I said I'm not good at arguing but I'll try my best. God made us in His image, which is a bit like seeing someone in the mirror- we're not God but we're a lot like Him. That means just like God we have a choice to do whatever we want & the ability to feel emotions. Unfortunately the first humans sinned & sin has consequences. It's sin that has ****ed up the world, not God. We had a free choice to do whatever we wanted but we decided to do the wrong thing & that has ruined everything. However, God loved us so much that He didn't wanna leave us in this state; He came down to die so we can be truly free. That doesn't mean we no longer suffer; actually sometimes Christians suffer more because of their faith. But we have God to turn to & He gives His strength to keep going on despite difficulties & to become stronger & better people through the difficulties. Christianity is not about following a list of do's & don'ts; if it was just about that I would've given up a long time ago. It's about a relationship with God; the bestest Friend anyone can ever have. I must admit, if you read the bible but don't have a relationship with God then it could be hard to believe that God loves us as much as the bible says He does. But when you experience it for yourself then you cannot deny it; even if you're going through the crappest time of your life you won't be able to deny that God loves you & will never let go of you. But you have to experience His love first, which I rly hope you do. His love is such an amazing thing! Love is one of those things which cannot be proved by science; like can you prove that you love someone? The only way to prove love is by experiencing it. Ok I waffled on for longer than I thought I would... God bless,

Jesus Christ is the only Son of the living God.He was God manifest in the flesh. He is the second Person of the Trinity. He is the Creator of all things. He sacrificed Himself on a Roman cross so that we might know salvation and be reconciled to God.

Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God; He is God Incarnate; He is a Friend who sticks closer than a brother; and He is Savior and Lord to all who believe on Him and call on His Name and ask for forgiveness of their sins - like I did 23 years ago

The Lord Jesus Christ is the one that died for my sins and when He was buried He took my sins away and He rose again the third day for my justification. He did it all for me. He made salvation without me doing anything but believing in what He done for me. Ephesians 2: 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Ephesians 2: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. He blotted out the law on the cross so I could be free and not ever doubt that heaven would be my home someday. Colossians 2: 14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

A man who tried to change the thinking of a nation from revenge (an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth) to one of compassion. He is to be admired for his effort but unfortunately, as with all highly evolved spiritual people, his life ended violently - as did Gandhi's life and the life of Martin Luther King Jr. Gandhi and King also tried to change the thinking of their respective nations and died violently in that effort.

But is Jesus god incarnate? That is the question.

I do not believe this. Many do, and call themselves Christians in Jesus' name. Which makes me wonder...

In 2000 years, will there be a group of people who will profess that Gandhi and King are gods? They behaved in the same fashion. Non violent activism for the benefit of their people. And will we have, as we do now, wars, hatred and intolerance towards the "other" as a result?

I personally find this very sad, not only in the possible future but in our present times. All three of these men spoke of compassion and the use of non violence to attain a more perfect result. All three died violently. And in the case of Jesus, where a religion was fashioned in his name, those who profess to follow his teachings of love and compassion continue to shed blood in his name as they did in the beginning. Events like the Crusades and the Inquisition are sad proofs of this. 655,000 innocent Iraqi deaths, the deaths of civilian men, women and children also speak to this. All in the name of someone who taught us to love each other and of course, died violently for his teachings.

This hypocrisy is beyond comprehension and is frankly a slap in the face to the man who spoke so eloquently to a different and more humane way of treating each other. This man was Jesus.
