Pewter is usually multi-toned. Basically, if you took bronze and added silver sponge paint then you would have pewter. Bronze is a darker gold shade, pewter is more silvery than gold. Bronze is darker but it depends on other metal accents which would be appropriate.

bronze is like a copper and pewter is like a dull silver.................they are two different colors completely but obviously the bronze would be darker.
