eHave you ever read Darwin's Theory of Evolution?

He believed in Divine intervention.

He states that even though he believes that evolution and survival of the fittest is why we have the species that we have today.... Something had to make that happen. It could not possibly have happened on it's own.

I don't beleive either of them deny it per se.

The Koran says ALL life came from the water of the Earth. Darwin seems to indicate the same thing. If memory serves me, the Koran doesn't specifically say Allah created man or life on Earth.

Catholics and Jewish theologians have no problem with the Darwin theory, which specifies Natural Selection.

Selection implies a choice.

There are three apples in the bin, you Naturally Select the best one to eat.

A more general theory of evolution had someone elses concept of "survival of the fittest" spliced to the works of Darwin in place of Natural Selection.

Darwin's theories state "lower species" which implies we are getting higher. It doesn't specifically state -- and he'd be a mad man to come out and say it -- we came from an Amoba or a Monkey.

It says lower species and Scientists, as a general rule, these days tend to favor a separate branch of animals that evolved into modern man. Separate and distinct from other animals.

Now, while we're on the subject, do you approve of the subjugation of Apes in Zoos so man can throw peanuts at them?

Is that how a Ape Evolutionist treats their ancestors?!

Is that the respect and morals you people have for those who bred you!

YOu cage them. You put them on view.

That's how Agnostics treat their forebearers?!

Maybe we aren't evolving into a "higher spieces" after all!

Maybe the treatment of the "lower species" by the Agnostics is proof, unto itself, that evolution isn't a reality!

Christianity obviously denies any evolotionary process in the development of life on earth. But the Quran speaks clearly of evolution. It only says that this is not haphazard and by accident, It is however a slow evlolutionalry process for life on earth. Consider the following:

Quran states that the universe was one big entitiy then with a big bang it was spread accross. Also, that life evoloved out of water:

“Do not the unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were once a single entity, which We then parted asunder? and that We made out of water every living thing? Will they not, then, believe? (Koran 21:30)”

The Quran clearly states that the Universe is still expanding, just as we know now:

“And it is We who have built the universe with Our creative power; and, verily, it is We who are steadily expanding it (Koran 51:44)”

Additionally, the Quran suggest, as we all know now that our species evoloved through different statges:

"What is the matter with you that you expect not wisdom and staidness from God? While he has created you in different forms and ever varying stages?" Qur’an 71/14-15.

Hope this clear some of the confusion.

We don't have to answer it. In Darwin's wager he answers his own theory. There was a lot about micro-biology that just was not known in Darwin's time that now show the falsity of his theory of evolution.

If it could be demonstrated that any complex organ existed which could not possibly have been formed by numerous, successive, slight modifications, my theory would absolutely break down.
--Charles Darwin, in The Origin of Species

To Darwin, the cell was a "black box"--its inner workings were utterly mysterious to him. Now, the black box has been opened up and we know how it works. Applying Darwin's test to the ultra-complex world of molecular machinery and cellular systems that have been discovered over the past 40 years, we can say that Darwin's theory has "absolutely broken down."
--Michael Behe, biochemist and author of Darwin's Black Box

The human cell could not possibly have happened by numerous, successive, slight modifications. By what slight modifications could the flagellum within the cell have evolved? What possible purpose would a partial flagellum have served? Only a full blown flagellum would be of use, but the purpose for the flagellum is possible only in a fully functional cell. The human cell could not have come about by random mutation; it had to come about all at once, fully functional from the first.

Sorry Darwin, you lose your Wager.

Evolution is not 'the Darwins theory'. Darwin began the idea of evolution, but it is now a vast theory encompassing many different ideas, all of them built on a framework of fact and evidence. Poster 'Tim M' makes the same mistake below; he believes that by showing faults in Darwin's theory, he is showing faults in evolution. The two are not the same; Darwin started the idea going, but it was an incomplete idea, because of so many things he did not understand. We understand many of those things today, and our 'theory of evolution' is quite different from the one Darwin proposed. Creationists who try to attack Darwin are just making themselves look foolish.

Christianity and Islam deny evolution because they believe in God, and they cannot merge the two paradigms. However, there is no debate within the scientific community as to the validity of evolution. All the educated people agree, while all the religious, uneducated people continue to make such ridiculous arguments and outright lies.

Please, please, spend some time reading the below articles and the vast amount of information within. They are compiled from neutral sources, without bias, with lots of references and evidence to back up every claim.

We dont deny most of darwins theory,

I for one believe in the concept of evolution. not to the extent many people do today. But I agree with much of what darwin said.

He never says we evolved from monkies

Christian deny it because it said we came from an ape-like creature. And they don't to believe that maybe we weren't always the species we are today. The also say evolution in general doesn't exist. Which we know it does because we're still not in our mother wombs. So we know we evolve over time. I believe in God and Jesus, but I still look at things logically.

Theories are theories.

But evolution is just that...evolution of an already existing species.

How the species came to be...nobody knows...or do they? *wink*

Edit: Micro or macro.

Has anyone seen a new species created through evolution???

they say no...but they do say: that it takes ages for it to happen. So youve discovered that it takes ages based on what? crumbs of knowledge scattered here and there...and gaps in the complete theory.

Grow up people!
