the forum has made a difference in the fact it is pretty clear from all the nasty remarks made of each religion or belief that mankind will never show any kind of acceptance of each other. that is very sad

Yes there has been people on this forum who have made a difference in my life. I could name many who have done so. How they have made a difference is this: some have educated me, some have chastised me, some have sent loving comments, some have said search your heart before you answer this question, some have made me laugh, and some have pissed me off. And no matter what just connecting with these people everyday they make a difference in my life, because they care enough to respond. It dosent matter how, but that they respond.
And knowing their hearts, helps me to understand my own.
The human experience is a powerful thing, and should never be taken for granted. I love everyone, even the ones who have pissed me off. Because I cared enough to let them. I wish you well.

Yes, one person for whom I answered a question was kind enough to show appreciation for my answer in a way that made me feel there are some real and decent people still out there.
My thanks to that person.
It seems that some people are on this forum to try out their comedy routine, or to work out their aggressions. To slam those of opposing views without any hint of open-mindedness. That is their right. But some people want to really know how others think and learn about things outside their own life. Hats off to those people!

Yup. It has reinforced my knowledge that the world still has a lot of people who beLIEve in a bunch of fairy tale, mumbo jumbo nonscence about heaven, earth, hell, salvation, God, Jesus, Etc etc etc. The list of BS goes on and on and on.
Jesus was supposed to return to earth what like.....many different times now. Well....where the hell is he? The world was supposed to end......well, Im still standing.
Its like....how can people trust in this stuff? It seems as though they can not accept an answer called "I dont know"
How was the world created? No one knows for sure....but they can not accept that....they need to tell themselves that God created it.
What happens when you die? NO ONE KNOWS!!!! But they need to say if you were good then you go to heavin. Its crazy, but there is nothing you can do about it. They are so brainwashed that they will never see things differently. They may say the same about me but I must disagree. I have taken plenty of courses on plenty of different religions, I have been to church numerous times and I have read as much as I can stomache of the bible and it has never made sence to me that if you have a functioning brain that you can believe in this stuff. It is 2006 people, time to wake up, live in the NOW and stop worshiping a man who died 2,000 years ago. Jesus was real, this I know, but I also know that he DIED. Thats it...poof...gone...never to return. I am wasting my time on this because those people will never snap out of it. But I do wish them well.
And I want to point out that I am not putting down what many religions see as right. For example...loving your neighboor, not killing, charity...those kinds of things. Churches so a lot of good for a lot of people in those aspects. But it is the trust and belief in such crazy things. The bible sure has a lot of rediculous stories! When was the last time a woman got pregnant without having sex? When was the last time a woman came to be through another mans rib? IF we all came from adam and eve, wouldent we be all inbred and retarded? lol Come on now.

Yes, I don't get out much due to a controlling husband, and in here I feel normal, and able to have friends that I see almost everyday. Those friends have helped me to see a life beyond the one I'm stuck in, and share my synical views on religion and life and let me know I'm not alone. I hope to be free soon and I owe it to my friends in here who give me emotional support and a healthy new perspective. Kudos to me regular buds who know me.

I have been touched by alot of the people in this forum and especially blessed by their testimonies. I've been surprised by how much Christians have been disliked by the nonbelievers but I guess I shouldn't be, It's biblical.

Actually, many of the non-Christians have impacted me the most. SPOOKY, Jim Darwin, Mutterhalls, Piraterachel, Selnyk, Michael X, and of course JIBBA JABBA. I think about those folks and wonder how they're doing. I respect their beliefs, and apprecate learning more about them.

Honestly, it has solidified my beliefs (or, rather, lack of) and made me really sad to see how others live their lives. I didn't realize mass delusion was so powerful. I didn't realize how strongly I oppose the idea of religion. I have, however, gained insight into the way misinformation has perpetuated society's use of religion as a coping mechanism, despite facts that contradict that religion.
