ok then i guess my question was not clear enough....
i knwo in the older days they taught that women were below men and what not... thats not what im asking, i am asking why are the lessons, teachings, classes, things like that seperated? during their service, yes they may all sit together and what not, but after the service, all the "meetings" are seperated male and female, why is this?

I think there is a different spirit of sisterhood or brotherhood if you have all the women learn together, and the men learn together. This goes back to also how we believe that men and women have different roles. They are equal in spiritual value to our Heavenly Father, but they just have different strengths and capacities. If you attend a Jewish synagogue, they are separated the entire time, if I remember right. There are some good answers here who point out that different meetings have different purposes, so for sacrament meeting we all sit together, then for the other meetings we may go to different classrooms.

Not sure what you're referring to.

In the Mormon church (aka LDS church), women sit with the men during church services. Women often give sermons (called "talks") on Sundays. Women have their own social group that meets each Sunday and other days throughout the month. Women have positions of leadership. Women have just as many responsibilities as Men. Women are considered equal with the Men. So I don't see what you mean when you say we are seperate.

I know because I'm a Mormon.

EDIT:
Ok, yes, I did misunderstand your question. We do have Sunday school together. But I'm not sure why the women and men split for the last class. My guess is that it's because women & men usually have different problems to deal with. I, personally, find it to be a great support in my life when I can meet with other women who have the same challenges as I do. I'm more likely to look for support (in the way of conversation) when there aren't a bunch of men around. No offense meant.

There are three classes or "sections" of class taught on Sundays. The first meeting is where we split male female as you are referring to I think...the children under 12 go to primary and are separated by age, not gender.
The gender split is for certain classes. The Young Women classes (girls 12-18), Relief Society (women 18+), Young Mens (boys 12-18) and Priesthood (men 18+). Every class has a lesson manual for each age group/class, and it is the exact same in every church you attend. You could go to an LDS class in Alaska and one in Germany and they would be being taught the same thing.
I don't honestly know why the gender split, just because it is set up that way. I am sure there is a reason and if I needed to know, I am sure I would. It doesn't matter, so I don't worry about it.

Why does one who claims to be Christian constantly lie about and judge the LDS people? We sit as families in our church services.

If you mean why do we separate into male and female classes after that for one hour each week. Let me ask you a question.

Do you think this world would be a better place if every man got together for just one hour a week and talked about how we can be better husbands and fathers? This is what the LDS men do. The women do likewise.

I don't know where you got the idea from but it's untrue. The only time we men are seperated from the women are during Priesthood and Relief society, which lasts for an hour. That is the only time during church that we seperate.

Original Mormons taught that men were better than women, only white people had souls, and Native Americans were the evil race that wiped out the true Israelites from the Americas.
