Carbs. Excess carbs that don't get burned off will be stored as fat. You will gain weight with carbs. Carbs include simple carbs (sugars) like soda and complex carbs (starches) like rice or pasta. If you want to gain weight quickly, then don't excercise at all. Once you've reached your desired weight, start toning. I've worked at Vitamin World as 2nd assistant manager. If you don't like gym then mere weight gain will be delusion. Weight is not the only measure of health. The elasticity and strength of muscles, the immunity, a good hunger and sound sleep are parameters of health which you will possess only if you exercise.
Alcoholic stimulations will certainly make you put on but will lead to lethargy, addiction and immuneless.

I have always heard starchy foods help you gain weight. Man I wish i had this problem, Most people are asking the opposite....

you should eat lots of sugar, chocolate, fried foods, crisps etc, and eat every 30-40 minutes until you reach desired weight.

foods high in protein and carbs... make sure it's healthy foods though.. nothing in high in saturated fats...
