So, do you put the eggs in boiling water or tap water and bring to boil?

Eggs, Pot, Water, Salt, let sit 5min to let eggs come to water temp, medium boil 5min, fire off set 5min., peel under cold running water.
Why people get unset? I have no clue, except it's an attack on their survivor skills. Anybody can cook, but it take skill to be a good cook

Put your eggs in cold water and bring to a boil. From then set the timer on 7 mins. Done! Same principle for soft boiled eggs but when the water starts to boil, leave for 2 mins.

The best way to peel the egg once it's hard-boiled is to let it chill in some ice water. Then the egg contracts away from the shell and doesn't come off in clumps when you peel it.

well some people cant even boil water, so the whole egg thing can be really stressing, and yes it best to start out with the water not boiled yet, the egg wont crack.

i feel my pot/saucepan up half way and put it on high(9) to bring it up to a quick boil then i salt the water to get the shell to pell easily then i put the eggs in and let them stay in the water for a min. and then turn the heat down to about 6 and slowly let them cook until i see a crack in the shell
egg boilers are good too you just your eggs in the device without any effort and in a couple min youve got good hard boiled eggs

bitter truth-who likes it????
but boiling egg is simplest thing- add water and eggs to gether with a little salt, boil for 20 mins, ur done.
The rule is the water temp and egg temp should be almost same while putting to boil.
