Yes, so long as you are able to get together once in a while and "releive the pressures".. If it's not love, just infatuation, then no, but if you really and truly mean the world to each other, then why not?
You do really have to WANT to make it work, though. And you must have HOPE that it will not always be this way. If you have those two ingredients, then go for it. If not then seriously save yourself some MAJOR heartache. It's worse than breaking up with someone local because you can't get the necessary closure, you know what I mean? Eye to eye stuff.
Good Luck to you.

I think it can. Its hard though trust me. I am currently in one and I admit we have had some difficulties. We took a break for a few months and its hard not being near the one you love or being able to see them and touch them every day but if you two truly love each other, you honestly do anything to make the relationship work.
Ps Do you live in Toronto because you look familiar.

No...I don't think it does because misunderstandings are so frequent oon IM. You can't see the person's body language and you can't hear their tone of voice. You either end up getting in a lot of pointless arguments or end up not getting to know the real person. Also, it's easier for someone to pretend to be someone that they aren't online, so you may not be entirely getting to know them.

Sadly, probably not. I had a girl in another country (also unable to get a visa to visit me) and aside from chatting every day, it cost me thousands to visit her occasionally for a week or so, or to fly independently and meet at a holiday resort.
Time and distance eventually defeated us, or rather her.

In my opinion, stop spending hours on the computer and go find a guy that you can date in person and talk to in person, someone, that you can see whenever you feel like it.

It works if you both have a lot to say to each other. If you are into more physical relationships, though, I would drop it. Sending pics will not sastify that want, and pics can be forwarded and spamed.

Definatley... it works out great... for the female. But once the man sees something he can be with in real life, hes out, gone like the wind.

No, sorry it won't! You have to be really mature to make it work, trust me. Get out of it, keep in touch, but consider dating someone else.
