I was locked up in Juevenile Detention when I was 16-19. I was going down a bad path to a dark future. I turned myself around when I realized I wanted more from life than grey walls and being told what to do 24/7. I spent my time reading and working out. I gave myself goals when I was released. One to meet a girl who can knock me off my feet. Two was to make money legaly and lots of it. Three was to contribute to society by educating other kids about life. That was 10 years ago and I've accomplished my goals and set new ones for myself. To succede is a challenge. And it feels good to accomplish. It's easy to get in trouble and have other people take care of you. Do something in life that you can be proud of. When you are inside just be yourself and don't act timid. If you act like someone your not, other people see right through that.

Sorry about the mess you got yourself into.

Never experienced criminal court as any kind of offender so its hard to give meaningful advice.

If they told you to expect a year in confinement, then that's what I'd expect. I recommend wearing slacks and a tie, (at least) and to make sure you have a fresh haircut and shave the day of sentencing. Make sure ever thing you say begins with "sir" or "ma'am" and resist any urge to exercise your smart mouth, if you have such urges.

People are tired of being victimized by criminals of any age, so you're going to hear precious little sympathy for your situation.

The program centers on rehab and education, but expect some stringent prison rules to be applied as well. It's not as hard as what usually is for an adult hard-timer or lifer. But you gotta follow the rules and make an effort to succeed in the program

I artwork for a youthful Offenders corporation interior the united kingdom, and NO you could't smoke everywhere on the premises. The reformatory officers ought to e book out, hand of their keys, and walk to the a methods end of the vehicle park of their breaks to smoke. until now every person tells you in any different case, the YOIs at the instant are not trip camps, and you is in basic terms no longer waiting to apply the internet.

You're going to have to grow-up really fast to emotionally and spiritually survive. As never before in your life, make every minute count towards building personal integrity and balance. Don't react to violence and stupidity. You are not there to express your opinions or educate anyone. Be a good decent, steady person, a man whom others in the facility could look up to. You figure out for yourself what that means. Good luck, hon.

Instead of asking about programs you should be asking how to break the bad habits that got you in trouble. While many your age are serving their country or preparing for a bright future you are forced to worry about the punishment to compensate for the wrongs you have done. Wise up and think about how to avoid future problems and prepare to give to society instead of taking from it.
