Yeah most people think it is not legal and or should have been towed. Well my driveway is right at a bus stop and for 5 days this car has been parked there, it obscures my view when reversing and also stops the buses pulling in fully and then it will cause a tailback to the roundabout!! Police are doing absolutely nothing, they are giving the owner plenty of time to move it and arent getting it towed!!

WEIRD...just after i posted this question the guy FINALLY turns up for his car and a tow truck arrives soon after. I had got to the point i was gonna speak to someone other than the person who answers the phone at the police station. By the way, i didnt know that my mobile number is registered to this complaint..so they know exactly why im phoning and who i am right away..heebie jeebies or what? i dont think i would be happy to report a REAL CRIME!!!

I dont think its legal. I didnt think u could leave ur car in a bus stop. Some people have no common sense. Im really suprised that the police did nothing about it BUT it just goes to show that the system is a complete and utter sham!

Is the bus stop marked as a no parking zone ? most of them are. if it is a no parking zone you can sign a complaint or you can call the police and report it. I do not understand the reason this would not be enforced.

Ask the police again to have it towed. Call the bus garage and tell them the car is in the bus lane and how long it's been there. THEY will complain. I'm glad it's not your car.

Try contacting your local bylaw enforcement office (different from police). If they won't help call the police again. Squeaky wheel gets the grease, keep calling and insist on speaking to a supervisor.

who parked it there and why?

It doesnt sound right but only a police official could issue a fine, I suggest you report the car to the police
