I believe the device incorporates a voice recognition feature ie you have to hum at the same time to prevent other people blowing into it (or using a ballon !!) & therefore being able to cheat

The main thing I worry about is it going wrong and it will go wrong. I'd rather have drunk drivers on the road than know that I could have this electronic piece of crap in my car that thinks it can't hear the right voice or is wrongly detecting alcohol or has just given up the ghost in the first place stranding me in the middle of nowhere. It's a device to keep the pillocks that are the British Public believing something is being done about a scurge that has been invented prurely by the public relations prats!!!
I would rather see a targeting of bad drivers, people who are not confident enough to control over a ton of metel even sober, that are simply not capable enough to react to anything that is not clearly stated in the highway code, or able to decipher exactly what they are seeing immediately.
After half a bottle of Scotch I am more capable of driving than many people that have just passed their tests, some that have been driving for years. Obviously I'm not as capable as when i'm completly sober but I have also been witness to several drunk drivers that are completly fit to drive. I'm not saying this is right as this only applies to some people that are capable of controlling themselves when drinking, and understand that many people can't even handle walking after a few drinks, but I would like to see poor drivers, the real source of most of our accidents, being dealt with first. Unfortunately as this is harder to target nothing is likely to be done to curb this problem, meaning that false excuses will continue to be blamed for any accident that can't easily be explained.

I'm sure its not that simple to get away with the best thing to do is not drink and drive if you do and get caught they should put you in the county detox center IE jail for about a year or so as many times as it takes to make you realize that you could kill someone by your stupid drinking also they should make people go on rides with the ambulance after they are released and sober so they can see what drunk drivers do to themselves and others when there in an accident

If someone would knowingly get behind the wheel pissed, they deserve the life sentance. Its like setting out with a knife knowing you will probably stab someone. A vehicle driven by a drink driver is a lethal weapon, and all drink drivers are murderers. My best friend once bragged he'd downed 8 pints and drove his Audi A4 home. As I am a father of a beautiful 4 year old girl, I haven't spoken to him for 18 months..
..DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE!!
