jeep was popeyes pet whatever it was that went everywhere, and the jeep came from gp (general purpose) the military vehicle that was created when tanks were to slow and cars got stuck to easy, they made the gp, when it moved to civilian hands they took the name from popeyes pet ..... saying it can go anywhere, and is by farmy personal favorite 4x4 ...... check the 4x4 of the year for the past ....... forever, i havent checked recently, but it used to be 8 out of 10 years jeep wins :)

ORIGINALLY THEY WERE MILITARY VEHICLES DESIGNATED GENERAL PURPOSE THAT SHORTENED TO GP JEEP CAME FROM THAT
