From experience here are my recommendations for those subs:

MTX TA91002 (bridge amp, series-parallel subs- 4ohm load) or even TA7801 (a lot of extra power) parallel-parallel subs - 1ohm load.

JL Audio 1000/1 (series-parallel subs - 4ohm load)

Kicker ZX850.2 (bridge amp, series-parallel subs - 4ohm load) or SX1250.1 (a lot of extra power) parallel-parallel subs- 1ohm load.

Hifonics ZXi 1006 (bridge amp, series-parallel subs - 4ohm load) or the BXi 1206D (a lot of extra power) parallel-parallel subs - 1ohm load.

Memphis 16-PRD1000.1 (parallel-parallel subs- 1ohm load)

Cadence DCA-1000 (1ohm load)

Fosgate T10001bd (1ohm load)

Well those are just some suggestions. Hope it helps.

Trust me on this one, use a Hifonics Brutus BXi 2006 D will push those subs perfectly, which is 2000 Watt RMS at 1ohm. Wire both subs in paralell and you will get a 1ohm load. Type R's can take 1000 Watts each Daily, they are an underrated sub at 500 watts. And check out www.realmofexcursion.com

You would actually be better off going with something like a Hifonics Zeus ZXi 1006:

2 x 250-Watts RMS @ 4-Ohms
2 x 500-Watts RMS @ 2-Ohms
1 x 1000-Watts RMS @ 4-Ohms

Two ways to wire those subs is one on each channel like so:

This will result in a 2 ohm load each channel.

-or-

This will result in a 4 ohm load and bridge them to the amp.

I wouldn't recommend exceeding the RMS limits set forth by the specs, they're there for a reason.

Nominal Power Handling 500 Watt RMS
Peak Power Handling 1500 Watt
Impedance 4 ohm (Dual Coil)

i would also recommend a hifonics BXi 2006 D
your type-r subs can *easily* take 1000w rms, and maybe a 2000w burp. people who dont know the potential of type-r subs just go with the rms ratings in the manual, but from *experience* (other people's of course) they can take 1000w rms. but not the older ones, that had a plain foam surround, only the newer ones with a ribbed surround. have your subs wired to 2ohm, and then put them together for a total of 1ohm with a BXi 2006 D amp, and you can push near 150db in the right box
