No it is not. The only scenario where the warranty would not be honored is if the repairs needed to be done as a result of the remote you installed.

As a general rule, if it is installed by the dealer, it will not void any part of the warranty when you install an accessory. However, if not, it may void any and/or all components that are or can be affected by the installation of that accessory. So in the case of your remote start, if something fails in the electrical system, the starter motor, or possibly even the engine, it may give reason for Toyota to not cover that component under warranty if it failed as a result of the remot start. Toyota would have no reason to void the warranty on any other non-affected components, however. For example, if the lock cylinder for the trunk failed and you have a remote start installed, Toyota would have no reason to void your warranty coverage on that as a result.

Hope this helps.

Generally speaking, any alteration of the vehicle voids the warranty however, if installed by Toyota themselves, you may be able to retain the warranty! I would call your Toyota dealer and speak with the service manager for an accurate answer! GET IT IN WRITING TOO!!!!!!!!

It is always a good idea to let the Dealer use the "person" that they reccomend, for a number of reasons, one if something happens and you went thru the dealer, they will warranty any problems associated with it, they also may give you a loaner. These places have usually been checked out carefully by the delaer as the reputation is on the line.

Chad F is ideal. If there's a challenge that comes decrease back to the distant starter the artwork is in basic terms not less than assure. otherwise the guaranty is high quality. obviously, if each and every thing works in spite of the indisputable fact that the distant starter Toyota will not be interested in taking that on. a buddy has an oem alarm and distant starter in his new F150 and the truck began refusing to commence after it sat a lengthy time period. The Ford broking service became unable to reproduction the priority because they did not have an section for it to sit down down for 3 days yet I stuck it contained in the act one time and determined the engine became not getting gasoline. The broking service were blaming the aftermarket immobilizer, and nonetheless did, yet they replaced the gasoline pump and a sensor less than assure. challenge solved. Toyota has been ultimate at assure coverage, even although in certain circumstances you should charm to Toyota us of a if a last date has in basic terms surpassed.
