Does anyone know if the same drug is available under a different name

Prothiaden is the Brand name of this medicine.
The generic name (same exact medicine) is Dosulepin hydrochloride, or just Dosulepin.
Another name it use to be called is Dothiepin Hydrochloride, or just Dothiepin.

There are also other similar medications, as they are all part of the same Classification of medications, namely TCAs.

So, if you can't get the Prothiaden, talk to a doctor about trying a different TCA. Although an SSRI might possibly work better with less side effects...and are much more commonly prescribed in the U.S. than TCAs. Though, this depends on WHY you are taking this medication....so talk to your doctor about this...
