For one, are you sure that they are a pair or of the same sex. Sometimes with birds they need a nesting area. If you provide a few areas of nests and place some nesting material on the ground they should go ahead and start nesting. But it may be the timing , spring and summer months. Males are brighter colors than the females so good luck.

Are you sure they are female and adult? I guess. In that case, they should lay eggs, even if they don't have sex (the eggs will not become birds, but it is like ovulation for women). Anywway, making them a nest might help, but don't be so anxious anyway. I mean, some people can't have kids for a while and are less anxious!! This is not a serious problem, let nature work...

specific. Hens will lay eggs regardless of if there is no rooster around. The rooster friends with the fowl to fertilize her eggs, in basic terms comparable to a guy fertilizes his spouse's eggs to make somewhat one. reckoning on the breed, hens will start up laying fromm 4-6 months of age. the business layers such because of the fact the Pearl Leghorns or the Rhode Island Reds will all start up laying at approximately 4 months. you do no longer ought to do something different - it in basic terms starts off of course. i'm a rooster farmer.

What do you plan to do with the babies?
Petfinders.com currently has 39 listings with multiple Lovebirds available for adoption.
Please don't encourage breeding. There are people working overtime everywhere trying to head this problem off. There are thousands of birds available for adoption and you are concerned about having more.
I'm sorry, but I just can't believe that what you are trying to do is the right thing.
Please reconsider encouraging this.

You have to provide an enclosed nest, to begin with. Thats all I really remember, my mother had two lovebirds and thats what she did.
