Its a poor league with only Celtic and Rangers the only big teams.Hearts are not there yet.Celtic couldnt match his wages.and it wouldnt do his promo work any favours since scottish football has gotten such bad press in the past,He is still a marketable product.
Personally it would boost our experience in the squad....but then again, micheal b =
WHY WOULD CELTIC WANT TO SIGN A BROKEN DOWN OLD MANCHESTER (SCUM )UNITED REJECT haha
Celtic haters dont know s*hit. Celtic are bigger than most premiership clubs with more season ticket holders and with a bigger stadium. We would rock the premiership.
Celtic along with Chelsea are the only 2 clubs to beat Barcelona at home in Barcelonas past 15 home european games.

because scottish football is like sunday pub league, on the weekend there were articles about the SPL being won already, If the scottish league's joined the english leagues Celtic and ranger would be lower end of the premiership struggling for survival and the other teams would be even further down the pecking order so why would a world class talent like David Beckham ruin his career in such a way, when he is mid forties he may go there to play his days out. p.s. I am Welsh not English and i support Cardiff city so I am not biased.

It's not that Celtic itself is too small a club for Beckham, but rather the league he'd be playing in. I'm sure that if Celtic were in La Liga or Seria A then he would jump at the chance. However, marching out each Saturday against the likes of Aberdeen, Falkirk and Dunfermline is much less attractive opposition than he'd be facing elsewhere.

Firstly, David Beckham is worth more than some of the teams currently playing in the SPL combined (this is not an insult). I do not think Celtic can pay his salary.
Secondly, the playing level of his competition there ranks far below what he is accostomed to. He still wants to play competitive football.
Then considering other factors like climate, family and LEAVING Real Madrid, I really don't think it would enter his mind.

Celtic are the best club in Scotland and not bad in Europe, but to most outside Glasgow they are not one of the worlds best. And as great as Glasgow is can it really compete with Madrid, Barcelona or Milan for either the footballer or his family? Sadly no.

Because going to Scottish football would be an admission that his career is all but over. There is no challenge for the title but they have no chance of winning in Europe.By staying at a big club his desire and hunger will remain but in Scotland the standard of football isn't as good so his enthusiasm will drain.

Its pretty obvious to the neutral observer why Beckham won't sign for Celtic. It just doesn't work out that way.
