No, I believe mankind has the ability to be moral outside of "fearing hell" however I am good and moral because of the conviction of the Holy Spirit.

No. My dog doesn't eat my shoes because she's afraid of the consequences. As human beings, we should be evolved beyond that, and act out of a moral responsibility to our fellow humans, not out of fear of consequences.

When we're children our parents taught us right from wrong. When we disobeyed we were disciplined. And as adults we can look back and see that through this discipline how much our parents truly loved us. Same way with our heavenly father he doesn't dictate ,he guides us through with prayer and his holy word so that we can live this life more abundantly and with peace.
