in my last Q http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AkcyR.CYccEfdJWTyaeGASfzy6IX?qid=20061031063238AAz9UQz
I wasn't generalizing all Christians..but only those who don't stop saying that Islam is violent and then shift to love and peace in Christianity..I qouted from both OT and NT..and as I know that Christians believe un both and that they came from the same God..
I personally have some Christian friends and I don't like to harm their feelings..but I posted this as a reply to the other ones who don't stop bashing Muslims..Is it clear now?

Thank you for clarifying. I am a Christian. My husband is Muslim. I don't bash Islam. I don't agree with it, but my husband is one of the most moral, ethical, kind, strong, giving, generous, intelligent, loving people I know. If everyone who believes in Islam (or in Christianity for that matter) were more like my husband, no one would bash at all!

I must have missed the NT quote. Ah well, either way.

You did not establish Islam to be peaceful. In fact, by virtue of the fact that Islam considers Tanakh and Bible to be valid (if not entirely innerant in the case of the Bible), you've established that Islam is as violent as its roots.

I've read the Quran guy. It's not a peaceful book.

The Old Testament is a history book. The New Testament says how Christians should live their lives today. Jesus is perfect, but he did many things for many different reasons. It's very easy to take things out of context when reading the Bible. The Bible teaches Christians to love all of God's creatures, which even includes you.

read the last chapter in Matthew when peter takes you his sword to cut off the ear of a priest Gard Jesus says "stop he who lives by the sword dies but the sword" and picks up the ear and heals the man! ♠ and you never used one N.T passage to prove that Jesus was violent
