Why is it not good to apply a hair product like pomade or gel to the scalp ?

Whats the proper way to apply style products to your hair and not the scalp?

Jels and pomade are too thick or make your hair too hard , which cause hair breakage and some contain alcohol, beeswax and petroleum jelly and these products are bad for your scalp and hair. They hold dirt, or dry out your scalp and hair. To apply theses products just to your hair place some into your hands rub them together and apply it to the hair only. for your scalp you will need products that contains natural herbs and vitamins.

You can directly use Aloe Vera gel to remove excess dandruff. Apply the gel on your scalp 10-15 minutes before you plan to wash your hair. Regular use of the gel before shampooing will keep down the growth of dandruff. Thise remedy takes time, but it works. Good luck!

Pomade and gels increase the amount of Grease produced by your scalp. well it depends on how long your hair is.

i would assume its because it clogs the cuticles and leaves a greasy look its best to put the product on the palms of your hands rub it around then run it through your hair it will give a more natural look dont put the product directly on your head.
