Having had my previous suggestion of settling all wars through football knocked back, I've come up with a new idea to achieve peace in the Middle East.

Anybody who thinks that their religion is worth fighting/killing/dying over will be airlifted into the area. Anybody in the area who would rather live peacefully among people of many different faiths faiths will be airlifted out. A five mile thick no-mans land will be established around disputed territories and a perimeter fence built.

Then all factions can go for it, killing, exploding, burning whoever and whatever they like in the name of the one true God, leaving the rest of us to get on with our lives. Whoever wins gets to be right.

Any extremist/ terrorist activity elsewhere in the world will be dealt with by being dropped into no mans land and left to find your own way to your own people.

Sooner or later, they'll have killed each other off and the rest of us will no longer have to worry about it.

Good plan?

This sounds like a screenplay - for The Rock. In other words, it's fantasy, and, I'm sorry to say, not very original fantasy at that.
But I can understand where you're coming from. It IS a great solution. The problem: who's going to decide who's a "terrorist" and enforce the punishment?
In the Middle East, most people think WE'RE the "terrorists" - George W. Bush, specifically. WE invaded Iraq for NO good reason. WE have killed thousands of Iraqis (and suffered thousands of fatalities/wounded.)
Maybe WE are also the extremists.
So, if you want to put George W. Bush and Dick Cheney on an island with Osama bin Laden and Ayman Al-Zawahiri, then I'm all for it. Unfortunately, the outcome could well be that Osama and Ayman win (unless we allow Dick Cheney to carry a shotgun.)
And, by the way, your idea:

"Then all factions can go for it, killing, exploding, burning whoever and whatever they like in the name of the one true God, leaving the rest of us to get on with our lives. Whoever wins gets to be right."

is, in my opinion, pretty much what's going to happen eventually - just as it did in Vietnam. The problem is - it's going to take us another 3 to 4 years to finally figure that out, and, in the meantime, God (or Allah - same Deity) knows how many more thousands will be maimed or killed.

A better plan would be to put ALL the politicians in (especially heads of states) and prevent any armies supporting them and don't give them any weapons. Just leave the stones and let the politicians slug it out. That would soon stop the fighting because the politicians would consider fighting 'beneath themselves'. And they wouldn't want their smart suits and white khaftans spoiled, would they? (LOL)

There will be no peace in the Mid-East, simply because (this is a direct quote) the Arabs want to "push the Jews into the sea"...
If the Mid-East in a football field, Israel is a tiny postage stamp with virtually no natural resources. A state of 5 million surrounded by 200 million Arabs; why then can't the Arabs just leave Israel alone??????????

Some people believe there will never be peace there. They will never change. So don't waste your energy.
