ok the question i want to ask is:
why is that children nowadays can't/not willing do as much as what our parents did to us when we are younger????

I think you have to ask yourself what is the root of the problem..
It's the way they were raised.
In today society children are brought up with no responsbility and no consequences
You get in trouble at school.. mommie and daddie sue the school
You get in trouble with the law.. mommie and daddie take your side, bail you out, pay for a lawyer and get you off. Our parents parents sided with the law and said you did it you pay for it
Little Johnny gets hurt at school, mommie and daddie complain (now the kids can't play tag)
Our parents were taught manners, respect, hard work brings good pleasures and nice things, todays kids get everything handed to them on a silver platter. They do not learn to work for what you want. They do not learn to appreciate the things they have becasue they didn't have to work for them.
Todays parents have allowed their children to run amuck and then question why they have heathens for children. Instead of staying home and actually parenting they are to busy trying to make the almighty buck to pay for their material possessions

people think of issues are undesirable now because of the fact we are in a recession - properly guess what, that may no longer the 1st recession! If there are persons around now who have been right here in 1939, they might have horror memories to tell. Because children nowadays are grossly spoiled by their parents who have no clue what they're doing and are trying to be their children's "friends" instead of their parents. It's absolutely sad and pathetic.

Nowadays,kids are being pampered by their parents and so,they are not willing to help you do things when you asked them to do so.

Because parents have been spoiling them and doing for them from the start, so to tune back, you'll need more effort.

because we don't require things of them when they are young and once they are grown and get attitude - it's harder to instill it in them
