This is probably a really stupid question but here it goes anyway. Im a really shy person and i really want to ask this girl out. I am really bad at asking girls out directly so I was wondering if this idea is sorta creative or just stupid. I want to do something that is unique so I have an idea to ask her for her opinion on a story I wrote. The story is about since the time that we met up until now, and i would compliment her on several things (not terribly excessive) and leave the ending open for her to finish (basically say yes or no to doing something). Good or bad idea?

It's sweet but a little too strong. It would really put her on the spot and make you seem a little too eager. How about just asking her to see the latest flick? That way there isn't too much pressure to say yes. You don't want her to feel like she has to go out with you right? She should want to!

It depends on your age, if you are a teenager then a letter would be a nice idea. But, if you are older you may just want to get up the nerve and ask her out, the worst she could do is say no, in a letter she could say no too. Just ask her! don't miss the opportunity because you are a little shy.

To be honest, If I didnt know a guy liked me and he showed me a story he had written about us, I would be a bit freaked but that is just me.I am a very shy person too so I dont have any ideas for you.Good luck anyway,I hope you get your girl!

I think that is a good idea because you are putting your feelings on paper and you don't have to worry about anything because you can really explain yourself to her and it will be easy for you to say what you really want so say and she should be able to answer you truthfully.
I think you would be happy with her answer because it will be the truth. And make sure you have fun with the story

Your story idea is nice but you don't want to look like a fool, so ask her build up the courage and ask her if you don't learn to be passive you'll miss out alot in life,. Trust me it'll pay you better to get some courage.

well u could but it might make things worse. u should ask her out yourself get a friend to ask her out for u or write a note to her asking her out. if she says yes then u can give her that story that u wrote. good luck

good idea, but i would keep it really short & sweet - too sappy & she might think you're a stalker - maybe a four line poem would be better where you give her the choice to fill in the last line, something like:
a. yes, i will go out with you.
b. sorry, i will not go out with you.
