Currently the Bush administration is acting on the genocide that is happening in Darfur. During the Clinton Administration the same thing was happening in another part of Africa that claimed 3 million lives....Nothing was done....is this a good idea to be involved to end the strife there?

There are bad things happening all over the world and you and others only here what the media reports. It is called managed news.
The world population is 6.5+ Billion people 5.3 people live in
poverty and 4 Billion of them live in close societies. Like North Korea, Myanmar (Burma) and many others.

The USA can't continue getting involved in every countries problems. Iraq is a good example. But, if you are concerned nothing is stopping you from going over and helping. Just don't expect everyone to get on your bandwagon.

We have a more concerning problem the world population. It is estimated to be 9+Billion BY 2050 with the same rate of poverty and less natural resources in the world to sustain the population as a whole.
We better start dealing with that issue before be get more involved in individual country and their problems. If we do that many of these problems in those countries will solve themselves to a great extent.

Nothing will ever be perfect but it will manageable and better for the population and the world as whole.

Think about it.

On Sixty Minutes last week, they stated that the government of Darfur has a lot of information on the terrorists and that they slowly deliver it to the US. But they hold most of it "hostage" as an insurance policy against a full out attack and that they release tidbits of it to keep us comfortably at bay. The program went on to say that we spend approximately one billion dollars on the refugees from Darfur. I don't think that the US is going to send any troops into Darfur right now. The genocide is going to continue.

Nope...
Frankly we have bigger fish to fry right now.

Africa has an age old history of these types of conflicts and frankly they need to fix it themselves!

Frankly Im not sure when the US got to be the Savior of all nations.. but I say enough

I think unless it effects us directly or our economy its time we began to clean up the mess we have in our own country first!

I ealize that teh scope is large iof what could in the end effect us... like Iran and Nukes... S Korea and so on... Kuwait and the oil

But Darfur is awful and I dont agree but its not goig to have any real impact on our Country or its economy in any real way..

We cant just keep tossing our troops all over the world to clean up everyones stupidity forever...

So NO I do not think we will get involved there any more than we already are... Plus
We have NO troops to spare right now.

Take Care
