Are the negative ads in current political ads, many produced by so called Christian candidates, upholding Christian values? Some barely hold a kernel of truth. Is a half-truth Okay? Is an outright lie ? Has wealth and power become the Christian goal? Or is it simply that they can excuse their Christian beliefs because politics and religion don't mix?

This is easy to answer...........they are Hypocrites

Most Christians in my opinion, preach one thing, but do another.........Hypocrisy.
Morals go to the wayside for political gain.
Look at the Republicans.....corruption is common practice.

Some people use their religion to get into politics when they don't even have morals. There are others that are great Christians, but if they have someone in their group that isn't they exploit the people. That is why we need to pray for our leader, and vote for the truth. We are to vote Spiritual, Ethically, and Morally. Not what you think is good. We all have to stand before God and give an account of all that we do. Our leaders should be standing on the Bible, and then America could come back to God. We were founded on the Bible.

It's for these reasons, and the people who are answering these questions (SCARY) that our Founding Fathers established a thick wall of separation between church and state.

Religion and politics do NOT MIX. Not everyone in this country believes in God. This country was NOT founded upon Judeo-Christian principles (and if it was, it was founded upon slavery, genocide, racism, sexism, etc... all valid Judeo-Christian principles) or the Bible.

So much for "thou shalt not lie". The way I see it, the Church has lost its political and social power in society. Now they're trying to get it back, but they're facing a lot more resistance this time around.

Negative Adds? Most of what the Left call Negative Adds are simply Adds telling the Truth.
But if an Add is flatly untrue, then a Christian is wrong to air it.

I think it is more in line with "We can do what we want, we are forgiven". This mode of thought can be used to justify anything as it shirks responsibility for your actions.
