Technically I guess it would be, not that I'd enjoy the idea at all. Read on before you hit thumbs down on me...

Think about it. If the whole world was Christian people would get along much more. Yes, people would still have a few verbal battles since there are so many Christian denominations, but there wouldn't be any other religion to come into conflict with and if everyone believed in the same things, the same way of living there would be less to fight about (EG: who's right, who's wrong).

But I think as the Christian number stand (2.1 bn, the highest with just under a billion more than Islam, numerical the runner-up) there are enough.

I am a Christian a Child of God First.
Christians are not perfect either the world would be better off if there were only people who only had LOVE in there hearts. people are always trying to change what God created i don't like this I'm going to change it i don't like that I'm going to change it why did he put them trees there cut them down why did he put that mountain there its in the way of my road lets move it. People are never liking what they have we should LOVE the world that God gave us but everyone is taking the world that God gave us and we are destroying it everyone has taken part in this we are all guilty the world would be better if there were no people at all on it. It may be a scary thought to think people becoming extinct.
But God so LOVED the world.

I don't think the world would be better if all people on earth were practicing one religion. Although I feel that most people on earth are good, there are just too many people with their own personal agendas who want to see them out no matter what the cost, and they will interpret religion in a way that suits their needs as opposed to taking the religion for its word (i.e. - killing people who perform abortions in the name of God). This happens in all faiths, that's why we even have division within the same religion (as another answerer previously mentioned).

I don't think it would, since there are so many branches of Christianity. You would have arguments and possibly wars over which version is right? Catholics vs. Protestants vs Orthadox vs Methadists vs Epispicals vs Mormons etc. In fact the group that wouldn't have to deal with it are the Amish. They stay to themselves, try to limit contact with the outside world and they don't believe in wars and fighting.

No, because then people would just start trying to figure out which one is better. You will have those who take the Bible literally, and those who interpret it, those who believe that doing certain things will end up in hell no questions as. So in short, it would be exactly the same as it is now

Christians tried to make this happen in the Middle Ages and Renaissance, and even after, through a series of conversions, compulsions, even massacres of those who differed from the official point of view. The result was centuries of suffering.

If you study the history of the church, you'll see this does not work.

Probably. It'd also be better if there were only atheists. Or democrats. Or Asians.

Differences make conflict. Then again, if all we had were atheist democratic Asians, I'm sure they'd find something else to argue and kill each other about.

Oh quit! Everyone can see that you are bagging on Christians. Go away and make yourself useful. Grow up!
