Tricky one..... Yes you could buy it tomorrow, but make sure your car is on a drive way and off the road from midnight tonight, as the police do random checks around roads and streets at the end of every month to catch road tax dodgers.... There use to be a 7 day grace but am sure that it not longer exists. Just make sure it is off the road, ask family or a friend who has a drive to see if you could put it there over night, if you don't have a drive yourself

You will be ok if you tax it tomorrow if you do it straight away. The trouble is a lot of police cars are now fitted with an ANPR system which lets them know if there is an uninsured car in the vicinity of their police car, amongst other things, so the sooner it's sorted, the better it is for you.

Contrary to popular belief, you do NOT have 14 days in which to retax your car. If it expires 31/10/2006, then it is no longer valid after this date.
However, unless there is a 'zero tolerance' - type purge on motorists in your area, you will be OK. You won't find any Policeman or Traffic Warden issuing you with a CLE2/6 for a fortnight or so.

You can tax it tomorrow but SHOULDN'T drive the car until you have your new tax disc. Without tax the insurance and MOT (if it has an MOT) are invalid so it will be illegal. You can do the tax online - don't know but perhaps you don't need the insurance information - or, if you do, perhaps you can ring your insurers and get the details over the phone. Good luck.

you a have a few weeks grace any way, but do it quick. DVLA know when your tax disc runs out. I've left it for a week once (forgot). Don't worry do it tomorrow it will be OK. If you can park the car off road.

Your should be fine 2 tax it tomorrow, however, legally you should not drive it on a public road without tax, even if you are driving to the post office to get it you should still not.

It's not ideal but you can do it tomorrow if you have eveything. Quickest and easiest way to doit nowadays is online - very simple and quick - just need a few days to allow for postage.
