I applied to the Indian embassy here in London a few years ago but because my parents are born in Pakistan (although my mother is originally Indian!) it took too long to get a response so I couldn't travel there. I feel it is difficult being an offspring of Pakistanis to go to India. Is there any solution?

Use that response, it may speed up the thing.

Call the Indian embassy and this time request, that if possible you like the renewal of that old unused visa, so you are able to travel on time, explain them you could not travel because you did not get visa on time last time, most of the time it is important to give them enough time.

From old visa they will be able to get your old file and clear you faster.

I hope they had given you visa, but it was not on time.

Lots of Pakistanis travel to India every day. Some time it just take longer to get thing done.

They now have train and bus service started, the relation are much batter to day then in those days.

Please avoid visit to India for now for god sake. Pakistan people created lot of problem in the recent past in India which can not be forgotten by indian people so easily.

Since political climate is not good , You may not enjoy the trip even if you get Visa.

Better luck next time.
