I think it depends on what age you were adopted at. I was adopted when I was 4 months old. I have NO information about my family medical history (that will take some paperwork!) All I know is that my biological mother also had 2 other kids (half brothers to me) and there's a good chance I was the result of either a rape or a drunken one night stand. That's very comforting to think about (being sarcastic) but it makes me a fighter! It hasn't affected me at all, if anything it makes me more greatful for my life, and what I've accomplished. I've been married for 4 years and I'm very happy!

I was adopted by my Stepdad when I was about 3 yrs old. My biological father left and never looked back. I consider my Stepdad my real father...he's the only Dad I've ever known and he raised me. My Mom is bipolar so I never knew how she was going to act from day to day. I still have some issues with my parents but have no desire at all to meet my biological father.

Just think about the life you would of had if you were not adopted. My cousins were adopted and they are now married and happy and doing really good for themselves. They still come around to our family and they will always be part of our family. And they think now if they were never adopted they would of ended up in jail or pregnant or doing drugs. So in reality it kind of saved there lives. Just like it saved yours. So dont feel bad about it. Be thankful.
