A renewable energy source is an enegy source which is potentially infinite owing to it's origin. It can be recreated constantly without a loss in productivity. Examples of renewable energy resources include Tidal (using Tidal waves), Solar (using the Sun's energy), Geothermal (using tectonic activity, such as geysers), Wind and potentially Nuclear Fuusion in the future.

A non-renewable energy source is one that cannot be effectively replaced, and once it is used it is effectively useless. It usually involves the processing of a single product as oppose to using a perpetuating source of energy. Usually the product in question either cannot be replaced easily, or at all. Examples include Coal, Oil, Gas and Nuclear.

renewable energy sources can be replenished naturally. Examples include Solar energy, hydro electricity, wind energy, etc. Since these are energy forms obtained from natural resources like wind, air, sun-light, water, etc, hence there is no problem in the source of energy. so the name is renewable energy resources.

Non Renewable energy sources cannot be replenished. These consists of fuels that are created under extreme conditions in earth crust. All of them are carbon compounds. The rate at which they are consumed is far more than the rate of their formation. Hence called non-renewable energy resources.

Renewable energy sources are energy sources which are not destroyed when their energy is harnessed. Renewable energy sources are distinct from fossil fuels, which must be consumed to release energy. Human use of renewable energy requires technologies that harness natural phenomena, such as sunlight, wind, waves, water flow, biological processes such as anaerobic digestion, biological hydrogen production and geothermal heat.

Renewable can be regenerated or started again (aka grow corn or sugar for ethynol, solar energu, wind energy). and nonrenewable is somthing that when used it can never be replaced (aka oil)

I hope this helps,

Renewable resources are those that have basically an endless supply. Solar, wind, water turbine are examples of these. Non renewable sources get used up and are gone, such as coal and oil.
