My daycare for my 1 year old is $305/week. I think a lot of it depends on where you live. Try looking on line at prices in your area, or stop by local day cares. Good luck!
Oh yeah, I'm in Massachusetts.

ah yeah...4.00 is very low. We have a live-in nanny and we pay $450 a week, plus she lives with us and eat for free. We also pay her medical insurance. We have a two and a one year old. the two year old is potty trained and the 1 still wears a diaper. She doesnt cook or clean as we have somebody else that does that. She does the kids laundry which she says she likes doing, and of course clean after the kids.

Wow~!!! You people must make higher salaries than I do in Louisiana. I could barely afford to work if I paid 1200 bucks a month in childcare. I pay $70 a week for my baby (full time) and $45/week for morning care to get my 8 year old on the bus.

I run a daycare and I would charge hourly for under 3 and not potty trained 5.00 per hour. If they are potty trained it is 4.00 per hour. A full day for baby is 30.00 and over 3 25.00. Hope this helps.

It just depends on where you are located. it can be anywhere from $100-350/ week. Usually in-home providers charge a bit less though, closer to $100-180/ week. So for 8 hour days 5 days a week this can range from $2.50-8.75/ hour.

it depends where u live...here in the dc area the going rate is like 11 dollars.....thats way too low to watch a kid...u tell that lady to pay u 8 dollars or youre not watching her kid....and i bet she will never find someone to watch her kid for 4 dollars an hour, thats ridiculous!
