There is problems with VOIP that I have yet to hear or see an answer for.

What happens when you loose power, if you have no ups then your modem is without power and intern no Broadband connection, which means no phone.

You loose 911 service.

Network problems can cause your phone to be out of service.

All your doinng is changing one set of problems for another. In my opinion it is not worth it.

Now as far as business go i do see it as a reasonable and good alternative.

VOIP has along way to go before it will be practical for residential service.

I have used SUNROCKET so far and found it good so far. Infact they have a halloween deal going on. You can get the second year free for $199.
Click the link in their homepage. May not last long.

Sunrocket has done pretty well in the US...it would've been my 2nd choice after Packet8....you get a base-phone and 1 extension for free....and you can pay for the whole year and get even a bigger discount...
