Anyone had any personal experiences with NE, I used to love him on the radio and despite all the negative press have always thought he was ok, however am I wrong, anyone met him and got the inside story?

I was in the audience on DOND a few months ago and while we were waiting to film NE was stood next to me waiting to come on. He was really friendly and so chatty he missed his cue. So yes. I'm saying Mr Edmonds is a top bloke and I have never washed the knee that he touched.

because he is a celebrity, you think he maybe a tosser, you have never met him, you are basing all of your remarks on his radio show, do you believe everything you read in the press, i actually agree with you, i think he is a normal bloke, who has had a remarkable career,in radio,and tv, and lets face it if the gutter press dont know anything they will invent the story anyway or blow it up out of all proportion to the actual facts. regards LF

In John Peels autobiography he calls edmonds an evil dwarf.why this is isnt really made perfectly clear but it doesnt really matter does it.i mean john peel has become also god like since his death where as i cant see so much outpouring for edmonds if he poped his clogs.Masive concerts year after year to celebrate his life???I dont think so.He has been known in the past as being a sell out looking after no 1.I'd never knock Mr.Peel so Edmonds must be an Ar*e.

He came into the reaturant I worked in years ago - was rude to all the staff, made one of his assistants cry in the restaurant and made comments to everyone about how he could do whatever he wanted because 'see that helicopter in that field, that's mine'.
