Hello,

It depends if it is really a boil or acne-cyst or severe acne.....An abundance of ppl say turmeric powder works. But this isn't an overnight treatment though. Antibiotic from your doctor will clear it up quicker.

Turmeric powder alot of ppl i know drink it with milk or water. Few weeks later, the boils and acne were gone.

But if you lack patience....going to the doctor to get a prescription is your best option. Another good advice, don't touch the boil and touch your body because it will spread and then you'll be dealing with alot of boils...

take care...

Make sure that they are just boils. There is a condition known as Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS), which causes a person to have numerous boils. A Yahoo! Answers member clued me in on this. Here is the website:

If it isn't that, and it's just boils, you should try this stuff called Boil-Ease (that may or may not be the right spelling), but this cream helps prevent boils, and gets rid of existing ones. And remember to put vitamin E on the area to prevent scarring!

From the Mayo Clinic website:

"Your doctor may drain a large boil or carbuncle by making a small incision in the tip. This relieves pain, speeds recovery and helps lessen scarring. Deep infections that can't be completely cleared may be covered with sterile gauze so that pus can continue to drain. Sometimes your doctor may prescribe antibiotics to help heal severe or recurrent infections."

Warm compresses (as warm as you can stand it). This will bring it to a head and allow the puss to release. Then you need to keep it clean and use Neosporin on it until healed.
