It depends how involved a father is with the child. It is acknowledged that mothers have a greater emotional bond with their children than fathers, but it really does depend on the situation as to who knows best.

I think all parents (except those sickos in the news and their kind) always do what they truly feel in their heart to be best for their children. Of course, we're only human and bound to make mistakes on occasion, however well intended. Besides, it's not as if children come with an instruction manual! And some people just aren't very bright....so I have to say more often than not, depending on the individual.

I think it is best for both a mother and father to make descisions regarding their kids. But I would have to say i, as a mom, spend more time with my children because i am with them more.So yes.

neither. WE all have to learn. EVERYONE has to learn. We may know somethings, but not everything. ANd as for the fathers, I think that they probably do know things, but as a mother we feel like we have a deeper bond with our children, and in turn we think we know best.

My bf has full custody of his daughter. Mom prefered drugs to motherhood, walked away when the child was 6 months old. I'm sure there are more fathers than we hear about who do more for the child than the mother.

Mother's usually tend to be more protective of their children, always afraid something is going to happen to their wee ones, so no, Mommy doesn't always know best. Sometimes it takes Daddy to tell Mommy, "Hes going to be OK, let him play football!" I am a mom of only one, and I KNOW I am way over protective! But, in my heart I know I have to let my son be a kid, and do the things kids do. Sometimes, it freaks me out though!

It depends on the parent. Who spends more time with the children, if they only see them for a couple of hours each
night, while the other parent spends more hours. then I would
have to say the one whom spends more time with the children
will know whats best for the kids. Because the only thing the
other parent will know is their work.

Most mothers and fathers know what is best for their child, but not all. If having a child meant you automatically knew what was best for your child, and did it, there would be no incidents of child abuse, neglect, etc.
