I live in the US and have never travelled to another country. But there is so much here in the States.
Disney World in Florida (along with many other wonderful attrations) Florida is pretty warm in Jan/Feb compared to New England (where I live)
I would also consider Arizona, or Texas, or Las Vegas, Nevada. California has so much to offer.
Alas, I will be spending January & February probably shoveling snow out of my driveway & walkway. Oh, well. Enjoy your trip, wherever you decide to go!

Goa is the best I can come up with. Flights are pretty cheap. Accommodation can be very cheap. Hardly need any spending money while there. People are lovely, weather boiling. It's a long flight for a weeks holiday but you have to leave europe in the winter if you want the sun.

Well I'm going to Morocco in February,it was cheap and I have been told that it is cheap over there as well and the weather should be fairly reasonable. Try Travel Republic it is a good website for holidays.
