Why bother worrying about the environment? You may as well use up as many resources as you want. Do you have a retirement plan or a 401K. If so, you may as well spend it now, right?

First, I'll answer your questions. .. . . The world may come to the point of Jesus' return soon. And to spend your investments is folly. Especially because .. ..no one knows the day or hour of His return. OKAY?

Now . . .Why is it important to you, to 'ask' questions that are clearly only an attempt to 'discredit' the beliefs of theists?

I'm very serious about this. I've seen your postings many times before and have always wondered.. . . What is it that you hope to accomplish? Why not practice 'tolerance' for others as so many of the atheists claim to do?

Now you ask a question & want us to answer, OK, This world will NEVER END, WHY, & HOW DO I KNOW, Did God destroy this earth in the flood & make a brand new planet, NO, he just cleansed it by water, & the next time he will cleansed it by Fire, But it is still the same planet, I don't worry one bit about the environment, not one bit, God will take care of that during the millennium, & I am using all the resources I want to & can afford to, & I am also drawing my pension From General Electric Co. for the last 10 months, where I had worked almost 38 yrs. As you can see, I am not worry one Bit, because God has it all in his hands. This earth will be here throughout eternity, Not in the same fashion, but the same planet, because Jesus & his Bride will rule & reign for 1000 yrs. to Bring & redeem this earth back to God, & after the 1000 yrs, This earth will also have been redeemed back to God, we will have a perfect climate, And Jesus will come off his Throne In Jerusalem & give up all power that was given to him by God & deliver back to God everything & Christ will become our elder Brother & then after the wicked is cast into the lake of fire, this earth will not have anymore traces of sin, therefore Christ will not need to be a redeemer anymore, & then God himself will sit upon the throne in the eternal age, world without end. Sorry, you lose again. So many Unbelievers & Mockery making people think they can out do us Christians, You all seem to think we don't know anything, or can not come up with an answer, let the questions come. Now you can give me a thumbs down, I am not here for points, just to help at least one person

LOL, no, we do not believe the world with EVER end. What we do believe will end is the current "system;" in other words, the world will cease being poisoned by the works of the devil and will be purified of all sin by Jesus Christ at His return.

Christians should worry about the environment; it's part of the Edenic, Adamic and Noahic Covenants. God has repeatedly told us we are to take care of this earth. Sadly, we fail to do so.

I have no use for a 401k plan due to my individual circumstances. Even if I did, I wouldn't spend it myself, I'd name unbelieving members of my family as beneficiaries so they could use the money after I'm gone, either by death or by the Rapture. I really have little regard for money; all I want to do is be able to pay my modest bills on time.

Peace.

You got some interesting viewpoints...and in my opinion, things feel like they are getting more intense on every level. I do wonder how much time we all have left before the Tribulation. It does, at times, make me want to run to the Bank, get some cash, and go on a nice vacation! But...in reality, being a Christian, I think I will continue to pray for Jesus's coming, pray that I am faithful, pray for my family and friends protection, pray that this world will turn to God, and that the "end of the world" will be merciful to those we love. We are definitely living in hard times, and I believe that End time prophecies seem to be occurring. God tells us to watch....
As for worrying about the environment, I'd say we should do what we can to protect the planet from more global warming, which seems to be quite a real threat, according to the news last nite. Perhaps it is a bit late to worry about it? Conditions in the world, as they are, .....how likely would everyone co-operate in conserving the worlds energy, and halting the attrocities that are happening to the planet?
I'm not trying to sound all "doomsday" !!! As there is good news in all this,,,the light at the end of the tunnel is of course, Jesus, and a new world, as it should be.
God Bless you!

The "end of the world" is not what many people interpret it to be.It is not as much an "end" as it is a new beginning.Life as we know it will no longer be,but a new life will emerge out of the ashes,a life much like Adam and Eve enjoyed before the original sin.God will restore the environment to a perfect harmony once more where His people will abide with Him for eternity.
Right now, satan, the prince of the air,has total dominion over the earth. That is why things are as bad as they are.And that is who people should blame for the conditions on Earth, not God.God lets us choose, for now,who we follow here on Earth,Him or satan. Many follow God and many follow satan, wether they know or believe it or not.The "end of the world" is just a purging of that evilness where God will once again set things right. In the meantime,we do what we can to be as conservative as anyone with our resources, because noone knows the time of Christ's returning accept God Himself. It may be 5,10,15,20 years down the road.It may be today, but I do believe it will be in my lifetime, and until then,I don't trouble myself with things I can't change or do anything about.God has it all under control.

Soon, as in the next day or so ? No. But soon, as with in my Life Time, most definitely, YES !

Do I think we shouldn't be worried about the environment, of course I am concerned about the environment! But I'm not fanatical about it.
Who doesn't want clean Water, clean Air, and so on? I am also concerned about Wet Lands, and Forests, but not to the point that I vilify Industry that use Lumber, and build Roads.

The Bottom Line is that we CAN NOT destroy this World ! Only God can. That's not to say that we can't make it uncomfortable, and that's where Wisdom comes in. Wise use of the recourse's God has put under our control.

True christians do not join in spoiling or using up earth's resources in the environment. The earth was created for mankind to enjoy its produce so we take care of it to the best of our ability. Besides no one knows the day, time that this wicked system, not the planet earth, would end so we do not engage in unecessary spending that will be like you are serving God with a particular date, period or time in mind. True christian use their time wisely by working what is good toward all, putting their life in harmony with God's will and not in frivolities. The end of this system of things makes a true christian sober.

So just as you prepare for the rains, winter, times and seasons, true christians today prepare by keeping busy in doing God's will. Need more info - www.watchtower.org

No one knows when the earth is going to end so I wouldn't start selling everything I own just yet. We have a plan here on earth today , we need to focus on that and when it happens it happens as long as we have peace in our hearts on where we are going to be after the world ends why worry

Rapture is such an odd concept. What purpose would an omnipotent deity have for such an absurd event. Only a little thought can show that no deity should ever have to drown "his people" let alone take his people to a better place. If he is a god, then why are we not <> at that better place.

We are to occupy till Jesus comes. What is soon? I expect Jesus to come in my lifetime. But even after that, He reigns for 1000 years on earth. Then the final battle is fought and a new earth will be created. So there is at least 1000 years before the earth is destroyed. Humans will be on earth when Jesus reigns.
