My father was on security detail for Bella Abzug, the first Jewish Congress woman in America, in September 1980, at Madison Square Garden, where she saw a concert given by Bob Marley.

Only one photographer was allowed backstage and he took a couple of photographs with Miss Abzug and Marley.

For over 25 years the womens movement in New York have been trying to find the photographer or the photo, with no luck.

Has anyone ever seen that photograph and if so, where could it be bought?

You might want to inquire here:

His site mentions that he worked with Marley and a Google search came up with Marley and Abzug mentioned. If he wasn't the photographer he may know who was.
There is a photograph on his site as you describe in his gallery.
