Have a benefit. Get friends and family in your town involved. Most businesses will donate services for the event, or charge a reduced fee for their services if you explain what you are doing. Have some posters printed, rent a hall, get a band, ask family and friends to help with food, area businesses to donate "prizes" that can be raffled off, request a donagtion to get in the door. Hope this helps. Good luck.

I advise you to not try to raise money on your own—there are too many scams out there to achieve credibility and have impact. Contact a related existing charity or Society designed to help cancer or leukemia patients. Whoever made the diagnosis should be able to direct you to social services who can give you more clear direction. Your father need not go untreated in this country with the agencies already in existence.

In my home town, which is kinda small everyone knows each other, when someone is sick family members will go to restaurants and ask to put canisters where anyone can donate money. You now when you go out and you see those cans with pictures on the front and the story about their illness. I think it's a great idea.

Try hosting charity events, perhaps a quiz night in your local pub or organise a race night and take a certain percentage for your Dad's treatment. Also ask local businesses if they would care to sponsor one of these events and you can print flyers off of your pc for next to nothing.....hope this helps

Yes, Billy Bob took my answer..............make up some fliers and ask everyone to help out and donate something new to a silent auction....................Of course the First thing you need to do is to ask the local VFW hall, or ? if they would donate the hall one evening for the cause........You can expand the fliers to any surrounding stores, gas stations with permission to hang flier..(just remember to take them down afterwards)
Best of luck to you and especially your Dad. ! .( My cousins wife went to Houston Tx 20 years ago for Leukemia treatment.....She has been in remission ever since..............Now there are many good cancer treatment centers all around.........Mostly in hospitals.

get a benefit night up and running... couple of bands and a raffle, always raises a good few quid! you should be entitled to some government aid, find out your rights!... also small charity community events are fun, fun runs.. sponsored silences in local schools, etc! people are great when you get out there and are willing to ask for help! its out there if you ask for it!
hope he is well soon!

Ask local bikers to help organize a charity ride. They are always up for helping those in need, some have deep wallets, always looking for a good reason to ride. Go to local biker bars & talk to some, good people.

I would suggest your local chapter of the American Cancer Society. Also, they can hook you up with low-cost resources in your area.
Here's the best disease info:
