Does your mother turn you crazy too?

I live by my own, have a kid to raise and everything is fine in my life except for my mother. She is controlling and abusive, she likes to make me feel miserable, and even worst, she is thinking about selling her house to move with me!! Help! How can I tell her no without hurting her feelings? I know she doesn't mean to be mean but she is, and I cannot stand this anymore.

Well, mothers in general could be a little bit possesive sometimes, but it's clear to me that yours is worst. What you should do is talk to her, franckly (I guess you are old enough to talk to her like a friend, are you?), and tell her that her personality is driving you nuts. At least if she doesn't understand it, for sure, she wont live with you. Good luck!

I think you better tell her it's not such a good idea for the 2 of you to live together. Maybe she could move close to you but not in with you. Tell her how she makes you feel. She may not be aware of what she's doing or how it's coming across...she won't know unless you tell her.

Just let her know you love her support but you are going to do things your way just as she did when she raised you . You can be blunt & tell her how you feel without hurting her feelings cause that would just be her way of controlling you anyway to make you feel bad. Let her have it now or she will be your new roomate.

You have got to speak up because you are miserable & you can not continue to live like this & it would only get worse if she moves in with you. You don't want to have to live like that.
