The greatest lesson of wealth here is to be a giver. Give to those in need. When you give, God gives back to you. But God doesn’t give back under the laws of addition; He gives back under the laws of multiplication.

This may not make sense to the world, but in 1 Corinthians 1:27, it says, "But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God has chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;"

Luke 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

2 Corinthians 9:6 But I say this, He who sows sparingly shall also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully shall also reap bountifully.

Malachi 3:8-10 8 Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me. But you say, In what have we robbed You? In the tithe (10% of your gross income) and the offering!
9 You are cursed with a curse; for you are robbing Me, the nation, all of it.
10 Bring all the tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house. And test Me now with this, says the LORD of hosts, to see if I will not open the windows of Heaven for you, and pour out a blessing for you, until there is no sufficiency. (this is the only place in the Bible that God challenges you to test Him. Test him and see if he will not bless you)
11 And I will rebuke your devourer, and he shall not decay the fruit of your ground against you; nor shall your vine miscarry against you in the field, says the LORD of hosts. (your tithe creates a covenant between you and God and He will rebuke the enemy)
12 And all nations shall call you blessed; for you shall be a delightful land, says the LORD of hosts.

Since I became a giver, I have seen my finances and wealth increase substancially. I have received promotion when others were more qualified, I have been financially and spiritually blessed beyond reason.

God says we should tithe 10%. This has always been a struggle for people. I can speak from experience that the Lord pours out His blessings on us when we do tithe. Example is my husband for one struggles with the idea of giving money away. 4months ago he demanded that I don't give money away. Reluctantly I followed his instruction, My husband owns his own business and I can testify that during the month of July, August and September he did not receive one phone call we came very close to closing our business. It was the worst year in business. I kept the faith and put it in the Lord's hands. I knew this was a lessen that my husband had to learn. Come September I began giving again. He has received more phone calls and he received 4 huge jobs he doesn't even know if he can get to them all since he's up against the weather. Give with faith and you will see it come back seven folds

The responses you have so far are good, especially that of Dr.Linder. I can only add the story of the 3 men whom received the tallents.

This was a story of investment. The man that buried his was uprbraided and admonshished for not investing, whereas the two that invested their talents were eligible for more reward.

I believe God makes us learn our lessons over and over again till' we have learned them! I believe that God gives us clues to what we should be doing with our money as well.
