you have got extra of a sort of application available to you with a 32 bit version of linux. you do no longer % a sixty 4 bit version until you're doing hardcore video enhancing or great database data. you basically % a sixty 4 bit version in case you have extra desirable than 4 GB of equipment memory. what the only individual mentioned approximately exchange document and ram etc is untrue. with 2 GB of RAM and a 4 GB exchange document you nonetheless basically have 2 GB of RAM. a transformation document is a transformation document it relatively is no longer RAM. Linux is somewhat extra desirable at coping with their exchange data than the older domicile windows OS's. All a transformation document does is enable non everlasting storage of data no longer being utilized by skill of the RAM at that 2d. The newer kernels that "see" all 4GB in basic terms has PAE extentions enabled by skill of default. In answer on your question follow 32 bit until you need to handle extra desirable than 4 GB of equipment memory or single data extra desirable than 4 GB.
